As a Quantity Surveyor, you’re involved from the very start of a new construction project, working with Tendering & Project Management Office. You will be responsible to manage, control and monitor all commercial and contractual aspects in the delivery of the project from the award to completion of the work and its contractual and commercial close out. Ensure project costs, budget and cash flow compliance, all within Company and the Client Protocols and Procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
- Prepare take offs and measure works on site and from drawings
- Submit interim and final account payment application assessments
- Submit Variations, Claims, Provisional Sums, Prime Costs assessments
- Follow up with the Engineer for the review and approval of all the assessments submitted
- Review the Subcontractor Payment Applications and certify their payments.
- Identifying the costs and managing the budget of the project from outset to completion
- Identify commercial risks and help develop suitable responses.
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project.
- Identify risks surrounding the project and the likelihood of cost variation.
- Track any changes to the design or actual work and adjust budget projections.
- Advise on any outstanding contractual claims remaining.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc degree or a national diploma in quantity surveying
- Being a certified Quantity Surveyor Accredited by the Institution for Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5 – 7 years of experience in quantity surveying in the construction industry
- Sound knowledge of Condition of Contracts commonly used in this region
- Extensive experience in use of Standard Method of Measurement such as POMI, CESMM4 etc
- Proficient in Microsoft
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Very logical thinking and methodical analysis techniques
- Strong numerical and financial management skills.
- The ability to communicate very clearly, in both written and verbal form.
- Being adept with a wide variety of software packages.
- Analytical and creative problem solving ability.
- Numeracy and financial awareness.
